TLI41225: Certificate IV in Motor Vehicle Driver Training (Heavy Vehicles)

The Australian heavy vehicle training sector faces a clear workforce challenge: the instructor workforce is ageing, learner demand remains strong, and traditional paper-heavy qualification delivery can be difficult for working drivers to access. This course is designed for RTOs that want to offer a practical and commercially-viable pathway for experienced heavy vehicle operators to transition into professional driver training, coaching, and assessment-related roles.

Combining structured online learning with focused face-to-face practical training and assessment activities conducted by the participating RTO, this course provides a ready-to-implement course framework while preserving the RTO’s control over enrolment, learner suitability, trainer/assessor competence, practical assessment decisions, validation, certification and regulatory accountability.
