1. Introduction

Eureka Digital Training Pty Ltd (“Eureka”, “we”, “us” or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy and handling personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose and store personal information in connection with:

  • our website;
  • our digital training platform; and
  • the provision of training resources and services to our clients.

2. Who This Policy Applies To

This Policy applies to:

  • Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) and training providers who purchase access to our Services;
  • representatives of those organisations; and
  • learners (students) whose limited information is processed through our platform.

3. Types of Personal Information We Collect

3.1 Client (RTO) Information
We may collect personal information about representatives of our client organisations, including:

  • full name;
  • business contact details, including email address and phone number;
  • organisation details, including RTO name, ABN and address;
  • billing and account information; and
  • communications with us.

3.2 Learner (Student) Information
Eureka collects limited learner information only, as required to provide access to the platform.

This may include:

  • full name;
  • email address;
  • course enrolment information; and
  • course progress data.

We do not collect:

  • identification documents;
  • assessment evidence (unless explicitly part of platform functionality); or

4. Role of Eureka vs RTO

Eureka provides a digital training platform and course content only.

The RTO remains responsible for:

  • student enrolment;
  • identity verification;
  • assessment;
  • compliance with the Standards for RTOs; and
  • record-keeping obligations.

Eureka acts as a service provider (data processor) and does not control or determine how student data is used for regulatory purposes.

5. How We Collect Personal Information

We collect personal information when:

  • a client registers or purchases access to our Services;
  • a client enrols learners into the platform;
  • users interact with our website or platform; or
  • communications are sent to us, including by email, forms or support requests.

6. How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to:

  • provide access to the platform and course content;
  • manage client accounts and billing;
  • deliver and improve our Services;
  • provide technical support;
  • communicate with clients and users; and
  • maintain platform functionality and security.

We do not sell personal information.

7. Disclosure of Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • service providers, such as hosting providers and IT support providers;
  • payment processors;
  • professional advisers, including legal and accounting advisers; and
  • regulatory authorities where required by law.

We do not disclose learner information to other RTOs or third parties for marketing purposes.

8. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from:

  • misuse;
  • interference;
  • unauthorised access; and
  • loss or disclosure.

This includes:

  • secure hosting environments;
  • access controls; and
  • encryption where appropriate.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to:

  • provide the Services;
  • meet legal and contractual obligations; and
  • support system functionality.

Learner data may be removed or anonymised upon request from the client, subject to system limitations.

10. Access and Correction

Individuals may request access to or correction of their personal information by contacting us.

Where the information relates to a learner, requests should generally be made through the relevant RTO, as the primary data controller.

Our website may use cookies and analytics tools to:

  • improve user experience;
  • monitor website performance; and
  • understand usage patterns.

Users can manage cookie settings through their browser.

12. Overseas Disclosure

We may store or process data using cloud-based services that operate outside Australia.

Where this occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure that such providers comply with Australian privacy standards.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

The latest version will always be available on our website.
